Home Information Packs
The Home Information Pack (also known as HIP / HIP's) is compulsory for pretty much all homes to be sold on the market in England and Wales.
From April 2009, important changes will be made to HIPs.
This means better information will be available from the first day a property is put on the market.
Why do you need a HIP?
Anyone marketing a home for sale in England and Wales, whether they are an estate agent or auctioneer, housing developer or a private individual is responsible for ensuring that a HIP is in place and made available to any potential buyers.
